New Monero Bulletproof Update Means Speed, Privacy, and Lower Fees

Monero’s Oct 18th Beryllium Bullet hard fork, or Bulletproof update, makes lots of changes to the system that fix bugs, speed things up, increase privacy, lower transaction fees, and more.

Since this is a hard fork, anyone running a Monero node (full wallet holders, miners, etc… anyone running Monero software that is) will need to update to the new 0.13.0 software (see link for software).

This update has been in the works for some time, so it is nice to see it have come and gone without a hitch.

As an extra sprinkling of good news, many exchanges have lowered their XMR withdrawal fees due to the lower costs of transactions.

In short and in sum, Monero just go better. You can learn more on GetMonero.org’s Monero 0.13.0 “Beryllium Bullet” Release.
