Coinbase Adds Support For Ethereum Classic (ETC)

Coinbase (and Coinbase Pro / GDAX) added support for Ethereum Classic (ETC). This doesn’t mean ETC will start trading right away, it means they plan on implementing ETC trading in the coming months.^[1]

This choice is likely a result of the fact that they had previously allowed Ethereum Classic trading before the original Ethereum chain forked becoming Ethereum (the one we know today that trades on Coinbase) and Ethereum Classic.

We are pleased to announce our intention to add support for Ethereum Classic (ETC) to Coinbase in the coming months. We are announcing this both internally and to the public consistent with our process for adding new assets.
