Blockstream’s Bitcoin Liquid Network Is Live

Liquid, a Bitcoin sidechain by Blockstream is live as of October 10th (after being in beta for years). Liquid allows big players to tokenize assets and send them quickly without putting a burden on the main chain.^[1]

This is a positive development across the board as, like with the Lightening Network and SegWit, it means less weight on the main Bitcoin chain… and that means faster transactions.
