This isn’t a fork that creates new coins, it is an upgrade to the Ethereum Network that requires a software update for anyone running a node.

It is good to see confirmation of support by big players like Coinbase and Binance, but the reality is it is 100% expected that everyone running any sort of platform that deals with ETH will be supporting the upgrade.
