Bitcoin Mining Reward is Cut in Half

The Bitcoin halving occurred today. The Mining reward for Bitcoin is now cut in half from 12.5 to 6.25 BTC.

The next halving, where the reward will be cut from 6.25 to 3.125, will be at block 840,000 in roughly 4 years in 2024.
